Looks like...halfway between Sony and Apple. The most notable improvement would be the shrunken bezels.

I was thinking Surface Book. Look at the keyboard. :)

Put a Vega powered Ryzen in one and I'll buy it.

Put a Navi powered Ryzen in one and I'll buy it. :)

Though next gen Renoir will be Vega based, and there's a chance it will appear in such laptops, given its LPDDRX support and (hopefully) lower power consumption.

Doesn't matter if it's Vega or Navi really. We are bandwidth constrained when OEM's only throw in a single stick of DDR4 2400 DRAM anyway.
Heck, bandwidth limited even in Dual Channel DDR4 2400mhz...

Either way, Ryzen notebook APU's are "okayish" for 720P gaming at low settings in most titles, but not more than that.

Looks good. The keyboard does not look like it has good travel though? And yes please, all laptops should be like this, without those stickers.
  • nimi - Thursday, October 31, 2019 - link

These are just PR shots provided by the manufacturer, of course they're not plastered with stickers.

I'll bet you a whole dollar it's gonna come with all the stickers at retail.

70Wh battery in a 13.3 inch, 1kg form factor. Sounds interesting. Most laptops of this size/weight usually only pack 50Wh batteries at most

    1920×1080: fail.
    No mention of USB-C charging.
Monster battery for a 13" laptop though.
  • GreenReaper - Thursday, October 31, 2019 - link

I think it'll be acceptable forr the one with a 13.3" screen at ~227 DPI. Or maybe you want a taller form factor? Bear in mind you can only get integrated video in that model anyway.
  • arsjum - Thursday, October 31, 2019 - link

What's wrong with 1920x1080? If you are referring to aspect ratio, I agree. But if you mean it's not 4k, it's a win rather than failure in my book.

The Surface Book has 3000x2000 for the 12" model, and it's actually very nice. It's hard to notice any jagged edges if you're further than two feet away from the screen. If it was 1920x1280 (to preserve the aspect ratio), it wouldn't be bad, but it would barely be adequate. Certainly not premium.

A LOT of people don't have excellent sight. 1920×1080 is cool on a 13.3" machine. Yeah, sure, 4k would be nice, but ever so slightly wasted.

One of the very few premium notebooks with an acceptable amount of connectors.
HDMI is necessary for beamers in presentations.
    Enough USB (Thunderbolt) ports.

(I hate dongles. Too easy to forget, loose.)

    What about Linux friendliness, though?

Books are incredibly useful, as I learned in my last year in college. When I still had to pass exams, I had to write material on one book, I didn't read it at all, I didn't find an example on one <a href="https://samplius.com/free-essay-examples/entertain... link</a> that helped me understand how to do it right and what to do. Thanks to this, everything turned out as elegantly as possible, and I also gained an awareness of high-quality work, use the link, I am sure that it will be useful to you as well as to me.
